The amp is an Eltax AVR-250 5.1 dolby digital/dts 100watt per channel.
It's being replaced with a Cambridge Audio AZUR 640A v2.
Got some new cabs to replace the Heybrook HB.5's today as
I wasn't that impressed with the quality of them ( When it comes to audio I'm a perfectionist and extremely fussy!! )

I give you the Monitor Audio Bronze BR2's ( 100watt rms ).....

And the amp...

I would like to reitterate to all members, this ISN'T a 'lets be a big head and show off to be cool' thread!!
It's a 'Anyone can have something like this if they save like a madman and work hard' thread! I appreciate everything you see in the pics from my cheapest mouse through to the samsung widescreen and the Monitor Audio's!
I know when I use it, look at it all and hear the sound quality that I earned it and didn't just ask 'Daddy' to dip into his credit card!
Not that I would do that as My parents are poor and I appreciate even more when they do something for me, like my Sony str-dg500 Home theatre reciever they gave me for my last birthday! I nearly cried as I was that chuffed
that they had done something like that for me

those speakers look sick mate, what are the sennheisers like? I have the HD650's with the cardas balanced cable running on a Headroom micro amp (which sounds the nuts) but i need a pair for my study pc and those sennheisers you have there are looking pretty good to me. Nice to see someone that apreciates their sound quality! Btw if you really wanna get some decent sound for your pc id recomend either getting an x-fi gamer (with panel for breakouts0 and changing the op-amps (needs doing on the front panel too) or getting an auzentech prelude card.

They're more than enough for what you need!! You'll be impressed with the overall sound quality.
I will be upgrading the soundcards eventually, I have to re-save now as I just blew the last of this budget on a new amp, cd player and cables!
Images later today.........

Ok, so as I said somewhere else, the corner where all the pc's are is going to be pulled apart with all pc's apart from one going into our bedroom along with the desk.

I'm still going ahead with the new home theatre setup next year, But I really wanted to get some decent new gear again and save my ears from the misery that the Eltax AVR250 was causing!!
So I decided to go with two seperate systems, - One for Home Cinema and One for music.
In these pictures you see the beginnings of my new 'HiFi' setup which wil eventually be given a nice and proper home with the speakers having some nice stands to sit on!

Today I picked up the Cambridge Audio Azur 640A amp, The Cambridge Audio Azur 540C-B cd player, Gale 'Symphony 400' speaker cable and two Cambridge Audio 'Pacific' phono leads.
The sound is really mind blowing compaired to what I've been used to for the past who knows how many years! lol
Really crisp and detailed high notes with a tight controlled bass, yet sounding very natural and distinct.
All in all a very happy chappy at the moment!

Next on my list is.....

Cambridge Audio 640P turntable pre-amp
(or) Pro-Ject 'phonoboxII' turntable pre-amp
Project DEBUT III turntable
Cambridge Audio AZUR 640T V2 dab tuner
Sony MDSJE480 minidisc recorder
Mordaunt Short 309 AVANT sub

*note to modz*
I tried posting this twice yesterday and it didn't work or it was deleted.
If it was deleted then I apologize if I broke any rules??!!
Thanks, Paul
