Default Just an idea

I was thinking of something original in terms of case accesories. The idea is to get a thick piece of clear plastic (plexi-glass stuff) and using a router make a pattern. Then get another thinner piece of plexi and glue it FIRMLY on top, creating a channel through it. If it worked i would fit 2 barbs and run water through it (obviously with uv die ). Just an idea at present as i dont have a watercooling kit but wht u think?

yeh, it prolly would, but there is a res already with taht principle, it is called the angel-eye, very restrictive on the water flow, but looks good.

if u got a decent couple of 10mm sheets and routered say 7mm into both with a matching design on both sides then u would prolly have the dog's bo**ocks, though getting 2 pieces of plexi-glass to stick air tight would prolly be the major issue!!

yeh i saw the angel eye but it dont like it cos it blocks the view of the case. i spose you wud need 2 VERY thick pieces so as to not restrict flow perhaps a flow meter could be incorporated as to the sealing issue i would make something like.

Edit://
My design:

also, it will be very hard for you to stick the pieces together with a good seal. you will have to make sure you have glue either sides of the channel but not in it. if you don't have enough, the water will run into the gap, and if you have too much, it will restrict some of the flow becuase it will get into the plexi. also, do you think that the finish of the router will be good enough. if it is scratchy, you might need to sand the whole channel.

they have glue that melts plexi together, you dont need alot either. i have some lying around my house somewhere, it works wonders!

ok, didn't think of that. also, my comment about the bad finish of the router is totally wrong becuase the water will effectivly make is a gloss finish, becuase when it flows it will make it clear if you know what i mean. very good idea.

Yea-
The sealing will not be an issue
use some "thin" solvent and you can seam em up pretty good.
I am building a custom res w/booster pump/pumps installed in it and have glued up a pretty sweet little box, with slide off top even!!
kind of wish I'd seen this sooner, GREAT IDEA!
Might post a pic sometime
